I have great news for homeowners whose guests have had trouble finding a place to park! Following numerous complaints to park staff and on this forum, I was extremely pleased tonight to see the brown F150 and the white GMC pick-up both parked out on the street rather than in Visitor Parking. We still need to work on that silver PT Cruiser and blue Chevy 1500 that are frequently parked in the Visitor Parking in front of our Clubhouse.
Tonight Roger called on the four shopping carts that have been sitting on the sidewalk outside the park entrance. Hopefully they will pick them up straight away.
On another note, I am in the process of scanning and digitizing the HOA archives. The Intercom newsletters date back to the park’s inception in 1972, and they can’t help but make you smile. The Sunshine Committee, luau parties, breakfasts, hobby and exercise classes, birthday celebrations, and more. I look forward to resurrecting the Intercom. Let’s bring back the glory days of Greenbrier!
Once I get everything scanned in, I will either post on the web, or make CD-ROM copies available for anyone who is interested. The binders with the old archives and photo albums are available in the Clubhouse. If we are to take charge of our community, we must know our history. Come to the HOA meetings. Volunteer on a committee. In just an hour or two a month, you will make new friends, enrich your neighborhood, and ensure your voice is heard!
