It's Hot. Who's in Our Pool?

Unfettered access to the Pool and Clubhouse continues to be a growing problem. In the past week, two homeowners have expressed concerns regarding non-residents using our facilities:

"As I was pulling into the park I noticed five (5) people – 2 adults and 3 children – leaving the park on foot and in wet clothes. I then turned my truck around and followed them up to the condos one entrance south of our park. They walked through the parking lot to their condo out of sight of me on this road. When did our park's pool open up to non-residents? I feel management needs to keep an eye on this behavior and maybe get keys for the Clubhouse to park residents so this doesn’t become a BIG problem."

Another homeowner writes:

"I feel that Park Residents should be given a key once again to the Clubhouse. This may STOP transients from entering the Clubhouse and Pool Area, and potential vandalism."

As long as management continues to leave the Clubhouse unlocked, we will continue to have non-residents using our facilities. Especially on hot days like these, word on the street travels fast and this problem will continue to grow. We must all be proactive in protecting our community. Please report non-resident use of our facilities to management immediately, and also forward a copy to the HOA so we can track these types of incidents. Copies of your reports may be sent to ggmhoa@gmail.com or dropped off at #9.

as to your comment about you following us to the condos next door i am a resident here and the people that were my guests are my old neighbors and our kids still play together and go to school across the street. So thanks for following me and my guests home.

Let me make it clear right here and now that I am not the person "following you"; any such sarcasm in this regard is misdirected. You will notice that the post quoted two different reports we received from two different homeowners, one of whom witnessed a group of 5 people leaving the pool, walking through the Clubhouse and straight out of the park to the complex next door.

That being said, those who have made these complaints have argued that none of this would be a problem if the policy of locking the Clubhouse was reinstated. If residents have keys then everyone (both residents AND management) would know that anyone using the facilities has a right to be there - they would either have a key or be the guest of someone with a key.

There are continually people at the pool with NO RESIDENT with them.
Guests are wonderful I bring them myself but guests do not know the pool rules nor do they love this as their home.
The rules are NO ONE in the pool or clubhouse with out a RESIDENT with them.
Older people send their grandkids and families down with keys, etc.
Last weekend there were two approx. 13yr old boys at the pool who were being obnoxious. They were yelling rude comments at my son and his friends. When they were followed to their residence.... what do you know... they were VISITING their Grandma and had NO RESIDENT with them at the pool. Their behavior was unpleasant for others at the pool as well.
I really desire these things to cease.
Please, please, please.
