HOA Meeting Highlights: 10/9/07

Treasury Balance: $8,273.65

“Meet and Consult” Letter to Management
The HOA will submit a letter to the resident managers, on behalf of all Greenbrier residents, pursuant to Civil Code section 798.53. By law, management must respond to the issues raised within 30 days.

Coffee Pot Purchase
We are purchasing a new coffee pot for HOA functions.

Park Management at Meetings
Following the vote at the last meeting, the HOA president and vice president formally invited Carlos to attend the first few minutes of Association meetings for a brief update. Carlos was not present at this meeting, so Ken and Al will follow up with him.

Clubhouse Bulletin Board
The “Sunshine News” bulletin board was discussed. It was reported that the HOA purchased this board years ago to communicate with residents. It has presently been used primarily for advertising and has not been maintained. Ken and Al will discuss this with Carlos, and request that a volunteer from the HOA be in charge of the bulletin board.

Water Leak
The lack of communication regarding the recent water leak was discussed. A few residents indicated that they had been watching the work being done on the pipes for several days, and they were aware of the impending shut-down the day before it occurred (Sunday). Many residents expressed frustration at the lack of communication about a non-emergency outage, and the fact that they were not informed when water service would be restored, or that water was available at the Clubhouse. It was also reported that an actual, unexpected leak occurred a few hours into the planned repairs, resulting in a lengthy delay in turning the water back on.

Lock on Cabinet
We discussed the need for the HOA to have, at a minimum, one cabinet in the kitchen, with a lock on it, to store supplies for HOA events. The members present voted to have Ken and Al discuss with Carlos the possibility of securing one cabinet, or of once again having keys to the hobby room so we can lock up the HOA’s items.

Complete minutes of this meeting will be distributed to all residents prior to the next HOA meeting, which will be held on Tuesday, December 11 at 7:00 p.m.
